Magnificent former factory Our student housing is located opposite Ullevi, by Mölndalsån, in the former Gustav Werner's textile factory built in 1881. The factory was converted into student housing in 1996, and a newly built section was added the following year. Here, a variety of floor plans and sizes of accommodation are offered, from single rooms with a shared group kitchen to 3 rooms and a kitchen. From the large rooftop terrace, you can enjoy various events at Ullevi. An interesting detail is that Håkan Hellström lived here during his studies from 1998 to 2001, and it was during this time that he wrote the legendary single "Känn ingen sorg för mig Göteborg." The property is very centrally located, with proximity to both the university's institutions, Gothenburg's city center, and good communications. Within walking distance, you will find several restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities. For those who enjoy playing football or engaging in other outdoor activities, Exercisheden is just a few minutes' walk away. Any pictures inside the accommodation are examples. If you already stay with SGS and apply for another accommodation, note that you have your notice period and risk receiving double rents. If you move in during April, May, June, or July, you will pay a lower rent during this period. From 1 August, it will switch to a 10-month charge, i.e., the advertised rent. If you stay in the accommodation the following years, June and July will be rent-free months.
